Group Health Insurance Strategies

In California, there are thousands of employers that offer health insurance to their employees.  However, every year they are experiencing large rate increases that forces them to pass more of the costs to the employees. 

One way employers can try to save money on there group health insurance is to promote healthy living and wellness within there company.  By offering wellness services, employees will change there lifestyles and behaviors which may lead to less complications in the future.  These are cost preventative strategies for both the employee and the employer.  If a company can incorporate a wellness program, then members may avoid issues such as diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease.  If a workforce is healthy, then the claims will be lower and the renewals each year will not be so dramatic.
