What Is Medicare?
Medicare is health insurance for people that are over 65 years of age or older and also for people that are younger than 65 with certain conditions.
Who qualifies for Medicare?
- You or your spouse worked for the last 10 years in medicare-covered employment
- You are 65 years of age or older or if your under 65 but qualify to a disability
- You are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States

Part A – Hospital Insurance
- Hospital care as a patient
- Access to outpatient and inpatient services
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Hospice care
- Home health care
Part B – Medical Insurance
- Doctor’s services
- Outpatient hospital care
- Physical and occupational therapists
- Home health care
